Abstract

Regional Gross Domestic Product (RGDP) is one of the economic data that can be used to evaluate the economic development performance of a country / region. According to macroeconomic theory, RGDPcalculation can be done through three approaches, namely: production / supply approach (RGDPaccording to industry / industry), approach to expenditure / final demand (RGDPaccording to expenditure) and income approach (RGDPaccording to income / income) . These three calculation approaches will theoretically produce the same GDP figures.

This publication specifically discusses RGDPaccording to the final expenditure / demand approach. This approach is broken down into several components, namely: Household Consumption Expenditures, Non-Profit Institution Serving Household Consumption Expenditures, Government Consumption Expenditures, Investment (Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Changes in Inventories), Foreign Exports, Foreign Imports, and Net Exports Between Regions (exports between regions reduced by imports between regions). RGDPdata in this publication and subsequent publications use the 2010 base year, and have adopted the 2008 System of National Accounts concept as recommended by the United Nations.
