Kendari
City inflation in July 2020 was recorded at 0.25 percent with the
Consumer Price Index (CPI) 105.06. Out of 90 cities, 29 cities
experienced inflation and 61 cities experienced deflation. The highest
inflation was recorded in Timika (Papua) and the lowest inflation was
recorded in Jember and Banyuwangi (East Java) respectively 0.01 percent
with CPI 104.77 and 103.50 respectively.
Inflation
that occurred in Kendari City was caused by rising price indices in the
food, beverage and tobacco group 0.64 percent; equipment, equipment and
routine household maintenance 0.20 percent; health group 0.14 percent;
transportation group 0.11 percent; education group 0.09 percent; the
personal care group and other services 0.08 percent; recreation, sports
and culture group 0.06 percent; and the housing, water, electricity and
household fuel group of 0.05 percent. While the clothing and footwear
group, the information, communication and financial services group, the
recreation, sports and culture group and the food and beverage /
restaurant supply group did not experience changes / were relatively
stable.Commodities
contributing to inflation are skipjack / scales, fly fish / benggol
fish, spinach, purebred meat, white cigarettes, moringa leaves, filter
clove cigarettes, cars, kale, and cayenne peppers.Commodities
contributing to deflation are long beans, squid, rambe fish, selar /
tude fish, rice, milk fish / sponge fish, sugar, air transportation,
garlic, and shallots.
