Abstract

Inflation Kendari in December 2016, was recorded at 0.13 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 121.68. Nationally from 82 cities that calculates inflation, 78 cities recorded inflation and four cities recorded deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Lhokseumawe (Aceh Province) 2.25 percent and the lowest inflation rate recorded in Padangsidempuan (North Sumatra Province) and Tembilahan (Riau Province) respectively 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the biggest deflation was recorded in Manado (North Sulawesi) 1.52 percent and the lowest deflation in Tegal (Central Java Province) 0.09 percent.
Inflation in Kendari recorded due to the rising price index in the transport, communication and financial services 1.21 percent; health 1.05 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.06 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.05 as well as education, recreation and sport 0.02 percent. While the group recorded a negative, namely clothing 0.62 percent and 0.59 percent groceries.
